To Members of our Network,

HMI just completed the largest third quarter in the company’s history. We received almost three times as many claims in Q3 2026 as we did in Q3 last year. It’s also worth noting that the quarter surpassed Q3 2024, which included many claims received after Hurricane Helene. We reached this level without a hurricane, which reflects the growth of the HMI program since our acquisition by Alpine Intel.

Thank you to the many crews that deployed in support of HMI this quarter. Your work made this volume possible, and these results reflect well on how customers view the HMI program.

We expect to announce Q2 and Q3 top-performing Authorized Members in our end-of-year summary. Because HMI has moved to a new RMS platform, we're updating how closing rates are calculated and want to make sure results are accurate. Thank you to every member of our Network!

Building out our support team
We are continuing to build out our back office to support the Network on every emergency tree removal assignment. As you may have seen in our recent HMI Pro Tips email, we’ve created two new positions that will effectively replace the Customer Service Representative role you’ve worked with for several years.

HMI Coordinators will work with you to build complete files that allow a rapid review of costs and scope, and expedite submission to our carrier clients for payment. Coordinators will schedule frequent calls with each Authorized Member office to review open files, discuss ways we can improve our service, and talk through training opportunities on our systems, insurance coverages, and more.

Once a complete file is received, HMI Processors will audit it to confirm that job descriptions are clear, the scope of work is consistent with the policy, and costs appear in line with expectations. If there are questions, the Processor will contact you to clarify the file before it goes to the insurance carrier for final review and approval.

Our goal is to give Network members more hands-on support, improve conversion rates, and further shorten the time from accepting a new HMI assignment to payment by the carrier.

Consulting continues to grow
HMI’s consulting team also posted its biggest quarter ever in Q3. Demand for our consulting services grew across the board, and we continue to hire green industry subject matter experts to meet the ongoing need. Insurers are increasingly relying on HMI and our Authorized Member Network, which reflects our collective investment in professional standards and customer service.

See you at TCI Expo
I hope to see everyone in Ft. Lauderdale at the TCI Expo. If you're attending Nov. 12-14 at the Broward County Convention Center, please stop by our booth #1037. Also save Friday evening for the annual HMI Authorized Member Happy Hour, which will be held at Bo's Beach.

The continued success of our Network reflects your commitment and professionalism, and it creates real opportunities for members to grow their businesses. As HMI expands its relationships with the insurance industry, we’re actively seeking outstanding companies to join our Authorized Member Network. If you know a professional contractor who shares HMI’s commitment to quality and customer service, please contact Gretchen Piechottka.

As always, thank you for your continued support of the HMI partnership and our clients. Stay safe!
